Clarissa began her career as a Lead Pre-K Teacher and was quickly promoted to Assistant Director, where she expanded her knowledge of management and gained valuable experience with state regulations. She has since advanced into a Director role, where she continues to grow as a leader while also supporting marketing efforts across all centers. Clarissa is currently completing her degree in Early Childhood Education, further strengthening her commitment to the field.

Laura began her career as a nanny and brings more than 10 years of experience working with children, including roles as a Before and After School Program Coordinator, Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher, and Lead Pre-K Teacher. In nearly five years with ABQ Childcare, her dedication earned her a promotion to Assistant Director, where she is committed to creating inclusive, welcoming environments where children can learn and thrive. Laura holds an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and a bachelor's degree in Sociology, and she is currently pursuing a master's degree in Early Childhood Education.
Little Corral Day School is located on Constitution Avenue NE in Albuquerque's Far Northeast Heights, a growing family community with views of the Sandia Mountains. The center serves families in the NE Heights, Tanoan, High Desert, and Tramway areas. Parents value the spacious campus and the quieter pace of this part of the city, while still being close to shopping, parks, and the Sandia foothills trails.
All ABQ Childcare locations are NECPA accredited and hold a 5-Star rating through CYFD (New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department). These distinctions recognize excellence in early childhood environments, curriculum, teacher qualifications, and classroom quality — verified through regular state evaluations.
Director Clarissa Casas has been in a management position for the last five years, transitioning from classroom teaching to center leadership. She holds a Child Development Certificate and is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Multicultural Education. Assistant Director Laura Ware brings more than 10 years of experience working with children, from her start as a nanny through roles as a Before and After School Program Coordinator, Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher, and Lead Pre-K Teacher. She holds an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and a bachelor's degree in Sociology, and she is currently pursuing a master's degree in Early Childhood Education.
Little Corral provides van transportation to and from the following elementary schools every school day:
Little Corral Day School is open Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, year round. We are closed on weekends and major holidays.
Little Corral accepts children from 6 weeks through 12 years old. Programs include Infants (6 weeks to 12 months), Toddlers (1 to 3 years), Early Pre-K (3 to 4 years), Pre-K (4 to 5 years), and School Age before-and-after-school care (5 to 12 years).
Yes. Little Corral operates van transportation to four elementary schools: Janet Kahn, Chelwood, Belhaven, and McCollum. Drivers pick up students after school and drop off before school each weekday.
